Open Mic Sign up at 6:45 First come first serve for feminine identified beings. Must present works that honours the feminine = however you define that. 4 spots 3 minute max.

Carley Mason is a 26-year-old poet who uses poetry to express her personal experiences with mental illness, love, heartbreak, and addiction. She has work published in several magazine including Freewill magazine.

Kenzie Housego is our Visual Artist this time around. She will be exhibiting “Curios”Artist Statement (Short) Drawn to found objects and imagery with a sense of history, Kenzie Housego investigates societal narratives of a romanticized past as well as the narrative of objects. She often highlights contemporary modes of gender roles and beauty by reflecting on symbolic or iconized within society. Among other themes her artwork also presents notions of the aphrodisiacal and the relationship between hunger and desire. – Raised in Grande Prairie, Kenzie Housego received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Print Media from the Alberta College of Art and Design. During her BFA Housego served as Co-Curator of the ACAD Print Studio Gallery and completed an internship at artist-run-center Stride Gallery, initial experiences that contributed to her keen interest in art direction and the presentation of artwork. Since graduating in 2009 Housego, has actively supported the Calgary arts and culture community. She has worked with numerous galleries and arts organizations, including Flemish Eye Records, The Art Gallery of Calgary, Ruberto Ostberg Gallery, Contemporary Calgary, WRECK CITY, and a range of practicing artists. She has curated several group exhibitions, organized music industry events and developed art programs.
